Gong Xi Fa Chai
Tomorrow January 26 is a Chinese New Year and in Malaysia, it is one of the public holidays and that means a 4-day long weekend. (At least!)
So I would like to take this opportunity to wish all my chinese friends and readers a very happy and prosperous Gong Xi Fa Chai! For those who are not yet married, have fun collecting ang pows (packet money) while for those who are already married, well, it is time to give out those ang pows!

Petronas Ads Never Fail Me
It is that time of the year again (well, 1 of 4 I think) where everybody is looking forward to Petronas Merdeka 2008 advertisement or commercial, as they are called here in the U S of A. And deliver they did! I have always looked forward to their advertisements and living abroad does not deter me from watching them. Hello Youtube!
Their ads always touch the real people's stories that every Malaysian can relate to. There is a touch of humor, sad and happiness all blended together and they blended really well. You will go "ooh-s" and "aah-s" and might even cry a little bit. The best cure from the headaches you get with the political situation back home, no thanks to both sides of the parties.
I hope you would enjoy the clip as much as I do.
Guarding Buckingham Palace
1 of the places that I really want to go in the UK is the Buckingham Palace. And I know Im not alone. Its not just the fact that that's where Queen E II lives but the guard changing procession itself is a show of its own that you must see. At least, that's what I keep hearing from those who have been there.
So when I read this on TheStar Online, I cant help but feel very proud. They are expected to start their duty on April 18 until June 12 this year. So if you are planning of visiting the palace during that time, you might see a Malaysian from the Royal Malay Regiment guarding it! How cool is that?

Malaysia is the fourth commonwealth nation after Canada, Australia and Jamaica to be given the honour to perform the Public Duties.
