Friendship

This post is not suitable for those still in school i.e. below 17years old. So if you're one of them, just click that 'x' symbol at the top right corner and close this page. Come back another day when I have other post. Ok?

************************************************************

I found out about something today that makes me so kecik hati. I wonder if my friendship was taken for granted or if I was just being used. Either way it sucks. I am so thinking that I should re-evaluate those people that I call friends. Some people obviously dont deserve the title.

I may be bitchy sometimes but I aint nobody's bitch. Or cook!

LPGA to Require English for International Players

No English, no play?

My second post in a day. You know something is up.

"ORLANDO, Fla. (AP)—The LPGA Tour boasts players from all over the world, and it wants all of them to be able to speak English.
The LPGA will require players to speak English starting in 2009, with players who have been LPGA members for two years facing suspension if they can’t pass an oral evaluation of English skills. The rule is effective immediately for new players....."

All for The Wrong Reason

Is Avril Lavigne too sexy for Malaysia? Sexier than the PussyCat Dolls? Is crying or shouting or wailing or in this case, constant bitching for the banning of concerts by western women artists more important than making sure that our children are safe? More important than dealing with bag-snatching crimes that has taken more lives and shattered their families?

Why is that they think it is their job and that they are representing the whole of Malaysia? I did not appoint them. Did YOU? I'd like to think that as an adult, I know how to think and decide what is best for me. If I dont like it, I wont do it or see it. Who the hell do they think they are to dictate what is best and what is not for me? And then make it sound like they are representing me?? Have they forgotten that Malaysia is a multi religion and multi racial country? It is after all Avril Lavigne whom we ALL know wears tshirt and jeans when she performs. PAS Youth, did you guys realise that she is not from Girls Gone Wild nor is she from Girls Next Door?!

And when Unity, Culture, Arts and Heritage Minister succumbed to this kind of BS (eventhough he denied it has anything to do with that call), it makes me even more mad.

But this drama is apparently not quite over yet as mentioned by who else but Miss Avril Lavigne herself here. There is still hope. To prove to the whole world that we Malay, Chinese, Indian, Iban, Dayak, Bidayuh, Kelabit, Eurasian, Mat Saleh dan lain lain Malaysian know how and WHEN to have fun.

Nothing More Than A Fixture?

Its already end of July which means we only have 1 month and 1 week before Merdeka. When you're living away from home, being able to celebrate it with other Malaysian makes it more sentimental. Although there are some Msian or ex-Msian who thinks that they're better than everybody else and to those people, plse F-off. The problem however is usually there's nothing much being done to get all Malaysian for a get-together. Yeah sometimes we organise a party for friends but tht's about it. Party for friends/people that we already know. I mean, we have a Consulate here but what do they do? Nada! Nothing! Takde apa2! Maybe last year they did something although Im not sure who actually organised it. I do know that there was a celebration at a hotel in LA (too far esp at night!).

Yup, im so pissed that the Consulate is not doing anything at all unless you go to them. Even that, doesnt guarantee any result. Let me give you an example. It's advisable for Malaysian to register themselves at the Consulate. It should be as easy as filling up an online form with your name, address, phone number and contact name and numbers in Malaysia. But Nooooooooooooooooo. You have to send in the bloody form! Come on! Are we still living in the 80s or something? Why do they have to make things so difficult? Because of that, I havent registered yet nor have I registered our marriage with them.

And have any of you guys go to their website? Here is the link. Just go there and see it for yourself. Personally I think as the website of Malaysian Consulate in LA, the quality just sucks. Its nothing more than a bulletin with most of the 'information' comes in the form of links to other websites. Who the hell is the designer and webmaster? How much did they pay that person/company to design and run it? And soalan cepumas (golden question) would be, what is the purpose and/or duty of a Consulate General? What do you think? Should they come out and make the effort to reach out to Malaysian living in the states that they 'service' or should we all have to go to them?

(Used-to-be) Planet Pluto

Dont ask me why but last night I suddenly remembered reading somewhere about Pluto not being a planet anymore or is gone. So I told Michael about it. He apparently didnt know about it either and since I cant really remember what actually happen, the conversation were pretty funny. There was, "is it gone from the solar system?", "shouldnt it be big news if Pluto suddenly disappear?", "did it explode?" and so on. I then told him that I would google 'what happen to Pluto?' tomorrow (that's today lah).

So, google it I did today. And I was right. Well, partly at least. Pluto is still there. 2 years ago on Aug 24, 2006, the International Astronomical Union (IAU) downgraded Pluto from a full-fledged planet to a dwarf planet. Why they call it dwarf planet, I have no idea. But I think its absurd since we have dwarf human and if we take into account the IAU's definition, then its like saying the dwarf are not full-fledged human being. Ridiculous no?

Its not that im losing sleep over it but when you grew up knowing there are 9 planets and suddenly there are 8, you'd think about it every now and then.

Anyways, they (IAU) came up with a new definition and 3 criteria before its worthy to be called a planet. Those 3 criterias are:

1. It must orbit the Sun,
2. It must be large enough, and therefore have enough gravity to assume a round shape,
3. It must be the dominant force in its “neighborhood,” with no other objects nearby

Poor Pluto. It is not large enough to join the other siblings in the solar system thus getting itself outcasted, downgraded and kicked out of the (big-boys) planet club. Sounds familiar?
